Note from the professor: A Bailar Dance School!

To think of dancing causes infinite satisfaction for me that I can only compare to love.

When I dance, I feel complete and satisfied; I think that I have an unlimited number of hearts because in each song, each beat, each melody, I put a few of these.

When I dance there is so much feeling that comes from within that I can honestly say without fear of mistake that to dance is an ambrosia of joy, passion, and desire. These feelings come forth whenever I say 'A Bailar' (To Dance)!!!

The idea for the school arose one night at a celebration in Cabarete. It was a wedding celebration where where foreigners and locals celebrated the union of a Dominican with a foreigner. I must say that the idea for the school was not mine that night, but that of an Italian friend who said the time had come in the Dominican Republic and elsewhere to dance salsa. The statement was seconded by several present and after they saw me dance with some Dominican girls, that night they proposed that I open a school with them as students.

The name of the school was as unplanned as the concept itself; they asked me for a name and I said 'I don't know... when I ask a girl on to the dance floor all I say is, 'A Bailar' (To Dance) and my Italian friend shouted 'That is the name!':

A BAILAR!!!
